The Friends of Guernsey Music Centre present an evening of jazz and popular classics performed by the Training Jazz Orchestra directed by James Hatton and Katie Gough and the Youth Jazz Orchestra directed by Neill Hadden.
The Training Jazz Orchestra will start the evening performing popular classics including Herbie Hancock’s Chameleon, jazz standard A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square and John Coltrane’s Blue Train.
The Youth Jazz Orchestra will follow with music ranging from Barry Manilow’s Copacabana to Brass Machine by Mark Taylor and jazz standard Come Fly with Me.
The evening will also feature performances by a new and exciting choir – The Wright Notes? and also the Music Centre ‘Giocoso‘ string quartet.
